(Not that Citra gives you that many to mess with though) It just needs more time for optimizations to be implemented. The other is from performance optimizations and better programming techniques as well as utilizing modern CPU extentions. It started out as a monstrously slow emulator but got faster in time. I don't know if you remember PCSX2 back in the day. Ok, now the screenshot (given my specs can someone please just reply with a copy of this but with every setting set to what would run LM2 best on my PC, i'm PAL region btw).Ĭitra is still very much a work in progress and certain emulated components are poorly optimized.Īlso, be aware that some nightly emulator builds have optimizations disabled to improve stability as they are typically compiled to test newly implementation features on a daily basis, though I can't tell for sure if the Citra team (or whoever is compiling these builds) is actually disabling optimizations or not. Given my specs, could one of you lovely wonderful nerds just reply back with a copy of the screenshot but this time with all the correct settings for maximum performance so that way i can just enter them on my PC too. If someone could please help me out then i think the easiest way would be to first list my system specs and then include this screenshot here.
only thing that's wrong is abit of stuttering here and there and now and then the frame rate drops to 13 - 14fps, but that's only cause i haven't changed a single setting because i don't know what to set them to.
Never used Citra before in my life and i am nowhere even remotely near a PC expert, so all i've done so far is install Citra nightly (i saw a youtube vid where a guy was playing it perfectly on that) and downloaded a LM2 3ds rom and just tested the first few minutes to see if it worked and the graphics and sound ran butter smooth.
